STOP Pressure Ulcer Day 2025 – Raise Awareness. Reduce Harm.

STOP Pressure Ulcer Day is a global event held annually on the third Thursday of November, this year falling on Thursday, November 20, 2025. It’s a vital opportunity to shine a spotlight on the prevention of pressure ulcers (also known as pressure injuries or bedsores), which continue to affect patient safety and quality of life worldwide.

At Frontier Medical Group, we’re proud to support healthcare providers across the UK and beyond in their mission to reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers, 365 days a year. But as part of this annual campaign, we’re stepping up our support with a focused initiative.

Pressure Ulcer Prevention Awareness Packs – Free to Download

To help Trusts, care homes, and community teams engage colleagues, patients, and families in pressure ulcer prevention, we’ve developed the STOP the Pressure Awareness Packs.

These free resource packs are designed to support education, training, and awareness activities and are ideal for use in hospitals, care homes, community teams, and other healthcare settings.

What’s Inside?

Each pack includes:

• PUP Leaflets – easy-to-understand guides for patients and carers

• Infographic Posters – visual reminders of key prevention strategies

• Awareness Posters – for display in clinical areas and staff rooms

• The Pressure Area Care Challenge Poster – an interactive team-based activity to reinforce best practices

These materials align with the SSKIN bundle approach to prevention: Surface, Skin inspection, Keep moving, Incontinence/moisture, Nutrition/hydration.
